This image more or less speaks for itself, so I don’t have much to say about it. It illustrates what I call an impervious ideology—it can’t be dented or contradicted by any empirical data. Or, rather, incoming data is slotted into existing categories (God’s work or God’s mysterious ways), and in such a way that anomalies aren’t allowed. While I’m no logical positivist, I think it is often worth noting when claims are nonfalsifiable.
