Hi and welcome! I’m Craig Martin; I’m an Assistant Professor of Religious Studies at St. Thomas Aquinas College, and the Editor of the Bulletin for the Study of Religion. My area of study is hard to describe; I’ve published on politics and religion and hermeneutics, and I’m currently thinking quite a bit about religion and capitalism. My teaching areas are easier to describe: I teach everything, as is often the case at small colleges. However, in whatever course I’m teaching, my students are likely to be exposed to theorists like Karl Marx, Emile Durkheim, Mary Douglas, Pierre Bourdieu, or Judith Butler, which should tell you quite a lot about me.
We’re excited to roll out some of our new online features. Here we will be blogging about current events, sharing interviews with important scholars in the field, and will share from time to time some of the material in our printed version of the Bulletin. Hey, I think you are quite anthropological. 🙂
